Fishing at Head Fen Country Retreat, the ultimate fishing holiday
We have four on site-lakes to enjoy some great fishing on our ten acre complex. One of them is exclusively available to lodge guests only, the reservoir, which holds our top specimen fish.

Head Fen Country Retreat is located on the Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk border in the sparseley populated fenland. The fens are one of the most fertile farming areas in the UK, lowlands that are perfect to explore by bicycle or on foot. You won’t have seen skies as big as we are blessed with here, sunrise and sunset are cinematic in their grandeur. Ornithologists will have a field day in the area, being very close to Welney Marshes Nature Reserve. Fishermen and women have to only walk a few feet to use their private fishing peg (tickets available to purchase from the site). We are 10 minutes from the historic city of Ely, 30 minutes from Cambridge and an hour from Norwich, oh, and just a few steps from your very own hot tub.
